About Laura Tan

I use whatever materials and tools I need to express myself—as articulately and poetically as I can. My images are personal, associative, playful and brooding. They are a response to a moment, or they’re driven by a deeper, more profound personal exploration. Experiences, intuitions and emotions, all working together, are the threads that connect my diverse subject matter. Using pencil, paint, oil, acrylic, watercolor, paper, linen, printers and photography, I draw, paint, print, collage and often recycle and reuse my own images.
